In addition to project work, H&C also provide an ongoing service the Holtze Correctional facility for all building works, including maintenance, upgrades, and minor new works.
Our project management team has experience working within and alongside federal, local and regional government departments. This knowledge enables staff to tailor services to meet the specific demands of individual Government departments, providing high level reports at all stages.
H&C supports government initiatives including local development, indigenous engagement, and specialised training programs such as the Sentenced to a Job Program
Wherever possible the procurement team source materials and labour locally in a bid to support Darwin businesses, and we have a long history of partnering with indigenous organisations to achieve shared goals and work outcomes. Our business uses the latest in mobile and tablet technology for online record keeping and reporting systems to better capture information on the ground, track progress, trades, and issues, and provide thorough reports as regularly as required.
At all times the business is looking for new ways improve on our ability to capture data, ensuring that we have the ability to keep all stakeholders up to date with relevant project information, and provide a high level of transparency to any third party.

Scope
Under this project, H&C are responsible for all carpentry packages on 30 transportable 3 and 4br homes including chassis, flooring, wall frames, windows and doors, roofing and cladding.
Outcome
Repetition of the works provided a unique opportunity for training, refer to the ‘good news story’ about our trainees that built one of the last houses unassisted.
